As a non-profit, Wilma's Transition Society is in need of support from our community. We are largely run based on the donations we receive from you! All donations are used to go directly to our transition and second stage houses to support the many women and children who come through our doors due to the many facets of interpersonal violence. These donations go a long way in supporting and supplying these families with many needs they may have which can be through food, clothing, personal necessity and hygiene products, towels, bedding, different support programming we offer and much more. We cannot thank you enough for the support from our community, without you and your generosity, our organization and the families we serve would not be where we are today.

If you would like to assist financially, we are continuously in need of support and accept monetary donations which go a long way in supporting our organization through the many areas of care we offer for those entering our transition facilities. We operate on a strict government budget and any additional funds aids us through purchasing additional necessities and some support programming for clients. We accept donations of gently used women's and children's clothing, personal hygiene products (must be unopened, unused products), furniture, bedding, children's items (e.g., strollers, toys, books, etc.), non-perishable food items, household and kitchen supplies, and more. Third party fundraising can be a great opportunity to support local non-profits by donating partial or full proceeds made to organizations in the community. Third party fundraisers are events that are organized, planned, promoted, and paid for by individuals, groups, businesses or organizations outside of the supported organization(s).

Come out and enjoy a day of fun for a good cause at our Annual Charity Golf Tournament!
Wilma’s Transition Society has held an annual charity golf tournament for 10 years to help raise funds to go towards supplies and programming for women and children who reside at our 3 facilities in our community. These funds help us purchase items for these families such as food, clothing, personal hygiene products, baby and children’s supplies such as diapers, wipes, formula. We provide bedding and towels, basic needs supplies and more to these women that enter our facilities. Additionally, funds help us to provide programming, service navigation and extra-curricular activities for children that they may not otherwise get to experience. We assist and support these families with legal services and advocacy, educational needs, housing needs, counselling, group support and more to help them heal and find independence.
We are very excited to announce our tournament is back this year, being held once again at the Cultus Lake Golf Club on Saturday, June 13th, 2026. The tournament is best ball format with a shot gun start at 1 p.m. $125 per person, includes green fees, swag bag at registration, buffet dinner, on course prizes and giveaways and more!
